You commented to the wrong poster. Furo's right by the way.

Furo is correct in the same way your spouse or GF is usually correct. you'll put up with it but after a while it feels naggy and annoying. no matter how inconsequential the issue, they tend to correct you just for the sake of saying something. ill put up with it only if they have large breasts. Furo, how big are yours?

Cigar LWB. If the group buy goes for the Cigar SWB I will most likely post these for sale. My wallet can't justify both:

The colors are different...carmina is a much lighter brown, almost in between the Cigar and Ravello of Alden. I also am finding that one LWB is enough for me (the Ravello) as I'm wearing more boots with my more casual pants.

I am also on the fence of having multiple long/shortwings. I have on pre-order a whiskey LWB and a whiskey wingtip boot. The lasts are different but various wingtips, short or long, might be redundant. I have a the cigar wingtip boot but want a cigar LWB... so far I've rationalized away from getting the cigar LWB.

Maybe purchasing a black or #8 LWB will be goof for now :)

the only chromexcel shoes i have are the wolverine 1k miles, and they do scuff relatively easily, but a few minutes with the horsehair brush works wonders.

I received the 2nds email via gmail.

For those of you who signed up online, it's never worked for me. A phone call always works,

Anyone got a pic of LWB worn with suit/dress pants and care to share?

BTW, in my bankruptcy court hearing, I am going to cite this thread as the enabler. :embar:

I usually receive the Shoemart Irreg list on a non-gmail acct. for 7D, 7E, and 7.5d, but nothing came this time. If anyone's feeling generous, I'd appreciate it if you'd send me the list.

When I called last week they said they hadn't sent a list out for 7.5E and 8E since November.

Do you have any of the rl shells from c&j? Is there any difference between that color and the carmina chestnut?

I agree but feel you must have the 975. If you only want one LWB it should be the 975. If you have another LWB then you must get the 975 in addition.

Keep it coming. One of these days you might actually mention shoes or something related to Alden. Maybe you might even post about how much you hate X, Y, or Z? I am breathless with anticipation.

If that's how your spouse or GF is, then man, I feel sorry for you.
