Yes this. My #8 LWB had the same heel slip at first. Once I wore them a few times, the sole broke in and they fit perfect now. Maybe my favorite Alden. Wish I had gotten the Leffot version tough.

Got the LWB cigar tonight. Ordered Monday, free UPS Ground, came in 3 days :) great shoe, very rich color, little darker than I expected. Threw on a pair on my favorite joes jeans, some cardinal colored OTC's, and rolled up some cuff. Will wear tomorrow with a blue check JCrew gingham and a dark brown belt. I'll get pics up this weekend

Anywhere. Alden of (insert city here), Shoemart, Leffot, etc. check for availability.

Edit: Sorry - I know it's late. But some legwork is possible.

    They look great!

Granny knots - not so great

(i'm now an official "off the granny knot bandwagon" guy since learning yesterday I've been tying my shoes incorrectly for the past 26 years)

Who else makes a cap toe boot, commando sole, speed laces, barrie last? I know Unionmade but they don't have my size and J crew has the brogue cap toe.

FYI--using spell check when composing your pissy comments might help your insults carry more weight. It's spelled "rationale".:foo:

I like the J. Crew brogue cap toe, but it doesn't have a commando sole.

Don't know how you feel about Chamois leather, but this meets all your criteria,
considering getting it myself, just want to see the leather in person.
does anyone have this boot or anything in the chamois? opinions?

Spell check wouldn't have helped in this situation. His spelling of the word 'rational' is correct.
