1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

SNUFF SUEDE: This material looks so appealing I want to eat it.

I'm aware of the unlined chukka, LHS/PTB/LWB and perforated boot (TSM).

Any other good models/manufacturers, even outside of Alden? Your fave snuff shoe?

FYI, Blackbird is done with Alden, except the black calf wingtip in 12D. [IMG]

I would suggest you speak to Ed at TSM before pulling the trigger. Some seconds have far more problems than just cosmetic blemishes. But good luck to the lucky buyer!!

Are there any dark-brown plain toe boots currently available? The Context Roy boot is perfect, just unavailable, and won't be for many more months. Preferably on the Trubalance last.

    Speaking of availability ...

Alden of Carmel has numerous sizes available in the Cigar LWB (double leather sole). While it will set you back $710, I can say without reservation it is one of my favorites.

Did they finally get their order in? I Pre-ordered a while ago and figured it would be a few more weeks yet.

Not sure about that - I just happened to check the website and thought I'd pass along the good news.

Just got both. I signed up for a fourth time and this time the response was practically immediate.

Yeah, not much here. At least, nothing I'm into right now.

I have both the 8D and 8.5 D irregulars list from today. If you want it, PM me your email address and I'll forward. Let me know which list too.

No rare shells but some color 8 and black shells as well as suede leydon last chukkas and misc. others.

Very nice. I have vintage Hanover LB Sheppard #4 PTB's and the color is splendid. Definitely more of a reddish tint as compared to Ravello.

Is it just me or do chukkas look better in suede than shell/leather?

I can't seem to get used to the idea of a chukka in shell.
