    OTOH, if you can't actually afford any of the 10 different models you want, it's a convenient way to ensure you don't rashly decide to go into massive debt.

    Namor is correct- they were MTO back when that was still a possibility...and they are on the dreaded Barrie last...which I do not mind really....

    It goes down easier if you amortize it over the life of the shoe- 20yrs= $35 a year :D

    I'm an 8E in the Indy and have 2 pairs of 9.5 Florsheim by DB (the saddle and the buck). I got them a half size too long to adjust for the width. So I'd add 1 size to your Trubalance size if you are a D width.

    That's my experience with them. Florsheim and Cole Haan both seem to fit more of my "sneaker" size than true dress shoe size. YMMV.

    Barrie and trubalance = 11.5
    Florsheim for DB = 11.5
    TTS = 12

    i had a different experience. I am a 11 barrie, and can wear 10.5 or 11d in trubalance, depending on the sock. I have the navy shell DB by Florsheim in 10.5 d, though it is a dress sock only fit. i could probably do 11 in this shoe as well for a more forgiving fit.

    the answer is that I wear roughly the same size in the DB by Florsheim as I do in alden.

    Holy smokes. You're right. And, actually cheaper with no tax and free shipping.

    You, sir, are an evil genius. I can't argue with that logic.

    I've had the same problem with my emails. But, I haven't tried calling them.

    In my experience, Shoemart is terrible in responding to emails. I had to call them to get an answer. When they finally did answer my email weeks later, they got the answer wrong. They told me the boot was on a different last than it was actually on. Pretty bad customer service there.
