1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Given the season, I went with the Leffot snuff suede unlined LHS and the cigar chukkas - both will get year round wear whereas the high boots I was looking at are more fall/winter/spring...

I will wait to add another color 8 to the collection. Probably done until September at least.

    Pics coming soon

    I always wear like that

BTW, I am wondering if #8 LHS works with shorts or not.

    You mean the visible stitches?
I can almost see a hint of where the stitches are on mine in a couple places if I look very closely in strong light.
In other words, not really visible on my pair.

    yes, the visible stitching.
its quite visible on the pair they sent me which I worry means its not very secure.

I think the only downside is cosmetic.

its secure, just not pleasant. Maybe they could be tightened during a recraft. ideally though, those holes should be covered to ensure better water resistance, or so I was told.

Like the sound of these, especially the medallion toe!

These are my current favorite boots. Ridiculously comfortable and I can't imagine footwear that would pair as nice with dark denim. Best casual boot I own. I have the Ultimate Jumpers on their way from LS right now, but I doubt they'll see as much wear as these do. You made a great choice[IMG]

This is Alden we are talking about. Quality control and finishing are lacking in many parts of each shoe. It's not really Epaulet's fault that your pair has this issue

Should be a good game, hopefully Zito continues to pitch well. Oh and nice shoes !

IIRC, Mike is in Europe for the week so there may be a delay in getting a response. He's normally pretty good at getting back.

    good to know
    thanks for the info

stevent, i haven't suggested its epaulet's fault that this pair is poorly constructed; they should however be willing to fix the situation.

Call Alden. I suspect they'll help you out. I stained my conservation boots and sent them back for refinishing. They fixed them up and sent them back at no charge to me, though I offered to pay. I received new laces too. No complaints there.
