Hey teach, this is called "wheeling."

Excellent lecture. My Cigar Indy's have a storm welt - it is when another piece is sewn onto the welt, correct?

Dunno actually. A kid brought her in as part of a project we did in the fall. I tell my kids that she's my new girlfriend and she keeps pestering me to leave my wife (who literally works two doors down in the art room). They think I'm weird...lol

Paison, beautiful! When they had these I had these in and out of my cart until I decided on the Ravello Brixton pre-order instead, should be arriving soon! BTW, the Gotham History Center in CUNY picked up one of my entries and is featuring it on their web site for the next month. http://gothamcenter.org/blotter/ STOKED!

ET, As much as I love whiskey, I just don't wear it as much as the other colors. A boot will always be a difficult wear in July and August, but I think the amount of wear you get from the #8 boot in the 9 or 10 months you will wear them will outnumber the whiskey.

Steve, as long as its a decent size, the HH brush shouldn't matter. The bigger the size the less "brushing" you'll have to do. As far as paste, I don't use any. I just condition as needed and brush the crap out of the shell before and after each wearing.

I believe Leffot has a Day Tripper cap toe boot and TSM has a NST boot; both are in Ravello.

these have served me well, I recommend the deluxe as they are a bit thicker and take up more room if that's what you need.

    http://www.amazon.com/Tacco-Deluxe-...ef=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1327771799&sr=1-1

(note if you google around you may find a better price elsewhere)

I decided to keep and at first they felt weird with the higher arch support. What shoe trees do you use with modified last? The alden ones fit a little weird.
