Your facial hair is pretty epic. You can be an extra on game of thrones.

Mac, I love ya and you have an epic cordo collection, but I am starting to think you are a cyborg.

I honestly think the regular #8 (dark sole) is more versatile, easily worn with jeans, suits, blazers/pants, etc. The antique sole on such a dark shoe makes it more casual. Antique soles work well on cigar, but that's as dark as I would take it... But I'm likely the minority opinion on that based on what i've seen in the thread

Yeah, some cordovan shoes get what look like little water welts or spots. Some pairs do, others don't. It's a mystery.
Nick Horween suggests that if brushing doesn't work, to get them wet again, allow to dry, and brush.

Yessiree! They were from Lord & Taylor's old Black&Brown line. They shrank a lot since I bought them.

Sure. Its Carmine and (I think Angelo) at Manor Tailors. They're on Manor Road below Victory just past the Post Office. They're FANTASTIC, and if nyone can clean it, they can. They change their cleaning fluids often (most cheaper places never do this) and they really understand good clothes. Carmine is a paesan from Matera (in Basilicata) who used to be a custom tailor before he came to America. Two wonderful gentlemen.

Sheesh, why just not rename this the Alden Cordovan Thread - Not owning, or planning to own, cordovan shoes I feel like a red headed step child!
