You said it not me, but ain't that the truth.

Maybe Arthur Tarlow was on vacation when that special make up was approved.

I'm looking into getting a sleeker brown captoe or suede boot that would work with both a suit or jeans - I want something less chunky than the Indy. Considering Aldens, my understanding is that I should look for a boot on a Leydon or Grant last (maybe Barrie?).

Any thoughts on which boot and where I could find some? Stopped by Leffot but didn't have anything to my taste in store at the time.

They're lighter partly due to the fact that there is no metal shank in them. Pros/cons vary but I do notice an appreciable difference when I wear my Aldens all day and the next day I put on some AE's. It's a nice lighter feeling that can be welcome on certain days.

Hi all, this is my first post. I'm kinda unsure of how to communicate properly but here we go. I've got an acquaintance who is selling some black longwings. He has no info on the make or type of leather used. I have my guess that it is cordovan. However I'm not certain. How can I tell? I will post pics soon.

The chamois longwing out on a park date with my little girl. Note to self, chamois and playground sand do not mix well.

I'm really starting like that chamois leather - is it hard to care for? What do you use on it - if anything?

These are what the new release will look like? No offense to SE and LS, I love both of those shops, but :hide: . Hopefully it will still sell out overnight as usual

Just brush them out. These are rough wear shoes that you don't worry too much about.

So I'm planning on purchasing my first pair of Alden shoes. Since I am a connoisseur of nearly everything that I'm into, I'm planning on going big and purchasing a pair of shell cordovan boots. What complicates things is that I have two significantly different-sized feet--a 13 on my left and an 11.5 on my right. I may be forced into buying two pairs as I usually do. In the past, I've looked for sales and have ended up saving on two pairs. I don't think I may have this luck with Alden shoes. I've learned that Alden doesn't off split sizes, neither does Moulded Shoe nor Leffot. I have yet to stop by the Alden store since I live in Manhattan. I will then look into Shoemart in Connecticut as well. Any thoughts on my issue? Any thoughts on which boots I should get? I am thinking about Indy's, NST Tankers, and perhaps cap toe or wing tips. I'm open to the thoughts from any of you seasoned connoisseurs. Thanks in advance!
