Is there anyone here who wears half a size larger than their trubalance size in barrie. I am a 8 in trubalance, tried on an 8.5 in barrie today and it feels so much better. I think I'm gonna have to sell my size 8D barrie shoes/boots

I've never been to the unionmade shop in SF. Anyone been there recently? I'll probably check them out on my next visit to SF

I have 3 Barrie boots in size 8D and they fit similar to my barrie longwing blucher and PTB in size 7.5D. I think you can get away with more room for a boot since there's more ankle support. As for the NST boot in barrie, the particular pair I tried in 7.5D was a tad small, and in 8D was a tad large. Such a shame since I love the look of them.

I'm a 7E in a Leydon last (AF79). Looking for advice on which way I should go in a Barrie last:

7D
6.5E
6.5D

I know Barries are supposed to be on the wider side, but are they also longer than a Leydon in the same size?

I wear 7.5E Barrie and Adam recommended 8E Leydon (AF79) for me. The fit is spot on.

I was there last summer. Nice wall of Aldens. And I met JasonFoote303. Nice guy.

And they have lots of nice stuff besides shoes. Definitely check it out!

I think there was miscommunication. Aldens are not going up $100+. They are going up about 8%. Still a big increase but necessary due to increased costs of materials and labor.

nephew,
thank you for the clarification-

550 increases to 594
600 increases to 648
700 increases to 756

Leffot's new #8 with antique trim. As always, Steven did a fantastic job and I think the antique edge really makes them pop. First wearing for Christmas party. Great time for them!!

LWBs in Cigar, Whiskey, or Ravello? Which is more versatile? I will probably be wearing navy suits or jeans.

Zippy,
Thanks for the visual comparison. Have you had the opportunity to wear your pair? If so, what are your thoughts?

Yeah, I got them from Winn Perry back in February.

I like the crepe sole since it's a little out of the ordinary. Quite comfortable too.
I probably wouldn't have gone for the crepe if I didn't have a few other pairs of shoes (ahem).
I've also got a similar pair in brown cxl with commando sole. I find myself wearing the crepe soles more often.

Are those online anywhere? I'd like to check 'em out.
EDIT - You must mean these?:

I saw these in person at the new Allen Edmonds store in the Embarcadero center. They look pretty nice but feel much lighter than the Alden WT boot. It looked like part of the reason was that they are not lined with leather on the inside. The last also looked much narrower than the Barrie so perhaps that will appeal to some of the more feminine members of this forum :nest:
