i avoid wearing any aldens in bad weather if i can. i have danner's for snow and bean boots for rain

but these have gotten a lil wet and have held up fine. i wear these alot! these and my cigar indy boots get the most wear atm. these were by far the most comfy aldens straight out of the box and have held up fine. i put in some toe and heel taps on the sole since i wear them so often

Agreed rkd. The suede chukkas are great. I'll probably pick up another pair in the future once I figure out my correct size in leydon.

I really like those snuff suede chukkas too, they look great. Does anyone know how the Leydon last would compare to Clarks DB's? These are the only chukka-style boot I have any experience with, so if there was any sort of comparison between them, that would be a huge help.

You guys should go check out J Crew's selection, which is all 25% off + FS over $150 (STAYWARM). If you click on Alden under J Crew in Good Company, it will only show a couple models. But, if you just search for Alden on the site, it will show you everything.

I just saved $165 on these

Cigar. While the ravello is theoretically a rare bird, I think Cigar is just as versatile. Cigar shoes are usually mated with an edge sole and welt that look good together. The Ravello shoes are usually mated with a darker edgetrim, welt and the combination looks a bit too "normal" in my estimation. My two cents.

You are correct. It turns out my links are not necessary, but hopefully they will help all the lazy folk around these parts.

The suede chukkas are great for light rain. I wear mine all the time in raining weather. I sprayed then with protector when I first got them, but that is it and they still look good after almost 2 years.
