hahah love the detail you provided "malin + goetz candle" like I'm a big shot and was at some richy rich party where someone has the ability to burn $60 candles.
Then again, it could actually matter (petrol based candle vs. beeswax based, for instance) in the care/removal of the wax.

actually you got me that was exactly what i was intending! i want everyone to think i'm cool and rich as i'm seeking advice on an online message board!

thank you sir, that was actually the real reason why as it wasn't your basic wax candle. you ever seen those things burn? nothing but oil in there.

Does anyone know where I could find a pair of shell boots with a pretty narrow toe-box, like the Aberdeen last, in a 7 1/2 E, with eventually a commando sole ?

In the market for a pair of Indy. I wanted a darker pair, not sure what the name is but the place I'm grabbing it from only has the regular one:

Wondering if anybody has applied Obenauf the the above and what were the results like? Wondering if I should just pick up the above and darken it with some Obenauf.

    Thanks

yes that will work, I have done it personally to my Indys and the results are excellent. Also if you check out the shoes that look better with age thread on Superfuture, there a couple pages of before and after pictures of Indys that were darkened with obenaufs LP. you just have to dig for it.

This is the thread he's referring to. I call it the enabling thread. You will soon see why.

    Thanks.

Those look real nice. Although I am still partial to the JCrew version, I can't justify the $120+ premium...

Agreed. The J Crew version is nice. As is, of course, the Leather Soul Hawaii Ultimate Indy. Both with chromexcel.
