Yeah, when you already have that model in a shoe, it's time to put the wallet away. =)

Unless you're a size 12D and are feeling generous with parting with one or the other...in which case PM me and I'll help soothe your conscience.:)

I don't plan on it - was just curious if anyone picked them up.

Hey, CHRK33, what's the deal with the cigar wing tip boots? I heard rumor of them, but never caught the conclusion. Who is ordering them? And will they have commando soles? Any idea if they're still available or are they are spoken for?
    Thanks

So Cigar Wingtip boots are coming this fall from Epaulet. They will be on the Barrie last with double leather sole and no speed hooks. Basically the boot shown in the link below but in Cigar.

I don't believe the boots are all spoken for; I reserved one in my size a couple weeks ago, so I would definitely check with Mike at Epaulet if you are interested.

Thanks for the info. I live in Alaska and we don't salt the streets/sidewalks because it attracts moose. So there is a solid sheet of ice on the world for six months a year. Leather soles are a good way to break a leg up here. So only crepe or commando soles for me. But, again, thanks. Hope you love yours.

I understand completely. Leffot is doing a natural chromexcel Indy boot on commando sole if you are interested. I was planning on getting that but the folks on this thread convinced me I had an addiction. Must be a Styleforum first. :embar:

Ha! Yeah, but this is one addiction that, rather than dragging you down, builds up your image, improves your self-esteem and may help you move up the ladder and improve your financial position.

Topy is your friend. I dislike the crepe and commando soles but double leather plus topy = solely goodness.
