Yeah I'm wondering if LS may have dropped the ball simply by naming it the Comfort Indy. Like it's the boot of choice for retired, arthritic Indiana Jones. The guys who bought it seem to like it, based on the comments though.

Grab a pair and give us a review. :)

Does anyone have any advice on water/weatherproofing Alden 403s without darkening them? I am hesitant to use Obenaufs or Sno-seal because I have heard how much it darkens the leather, and I like the color as is.

the store was completely empty; nothing on shelves, no registers, etc. I was in my car at the time but I wish I stopped to check things out a little more closely.

ime, the darkening is minimal. im wearing my 405's today, treated with both mink oil and sno-seal, and they do not appear any darker than pics of new pairs.

Uncle, when going sockless, do you treat your feet/shoes with any powder? or hidden socks? :hide:

I use Star brushes; they are great value for the money.

    Paste wax

you wont need the wax for a while

:fistbump: I have tried going sockless and I dont like the humid, sticky feel when the skin makes contact with leather

What size are you again? How well do these stay on your feet? I grabbed the ones in the link below because the reviews said that they worked for large feet and they do. Haven't had any problems with them.

    http://www.amazon.com/Tommy-Bahama-...E6LS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313959877&sr=8-1

Every other brand I looked at had reviews that said they slipped off of larger feet.
