I am sure that this has been covered, but can anyone recommend what product I should be using to treat and weather/water/snow proof my Alden 403s as best as possible? I have been using lexol to clean them, but do not know whether I should be using mink oil or sno-seal or pecards as well. Obenaufs?

    Anyone have some advice?

HA, that is exactly what a su[port group would do. But a GB could save a us a few bucks, so all in all not a bad thing.

You spear heading it.... :satisfied: ?

^^ had this happen to a pair of C&Js i bought a couple years back. I was told this happens when the manufacturer has the leather too thin in that area or the material was sewn too close to the stitching. contact Alden, they will replace. at least that's what C&J did.

yeah should not be a problem. i was worried when it happened to me since i bought my CJs from Plal in Malaysia, but both Plal and CJ were awesome about it. hopefully you get the same treatment.

i'd say your out there is that they sell cosmetic blemished models, not poor construction.
