No shoes today but anyone buying from Yenni/Brick & Mortar, spend the extra $30 and grab one of bags. It has been my go-to for a few years now on my Saturday morning grocery runs. I have transitioned to the tan one as the black is showing its age with a few tears and holes. Just so happens that today I needed both……

Thank you to everyone who has helped with my questions as I search for the best boot for now.

I think that I’m going to go with a color 8 cordovan Indy or tanker from Shoe Mart (I haven’t found anywhere else that has those in C width now).

My question now is will a 10c Indy in cordovan likely have the same width as a 9.5D on leather?
Also, how would a 10.5 C tanker on the Barrie last fit in comparison?

I’ve been able to try on calf Indy 405s in 9 and 9.5 D. I wear orthotics and with them the 9.5D width Im the toe box felt snug but good overall and the heel and lacing were fine but the boot felt just a tad short heel to ball. My actual brannock with socks I’d wear with these is 10.5 B/C heel to ball (10b/c heel to toe) (but with orthotics I’m definitely a C rather than B.)

I’ll email Shoe Mart as well, but wanted to see what you all thought too.

I opted for the blue tote bag, but the black and tan are really beautiful! I felt the blue would be less likely to be stolen. Lol!

Not to add another point of confusion, but I've found that shell CAN (doesn't always), fit just a smidge larger as the material isn't stretched as aggressively over the last like suede and CXL/Calf.

Ultimately, you'll want to try on the boot with your orthotics. Since these are all made-by-hand, there may be slight variations in sizing. This isn't just an Alden consideration as I've had AE shoes also vary in size (slightly). If ordering from TSM, they allow returns, just gotta pay return shipping.

New loafer drop from TSM - “kuda leather” and interesting outsole - “leisure 3” - no E width 😭
