Snow and sleet today left me needing my warmest boots. These Indy boots on AT soles were ordered 1/2 size up to accommodate an additional form insole and thicker socks. It makes quite a difference on the warmth factor. Plus they look snappy.

thank you, brother. I'm out of the shoe game these days. Enjoying the ones I have enough to need replacement heels!
Speaking of enjoying the shoes I have…light snow and slush in NYC called for these AoC rugged Indies

Was gonna ask if you just needed the shoes stretched, but then read you ordered another pair in the next size up. They look great in that photo!
Thanks! I like this model so much that I went the sure-fire (though more expensive) route of ordering a half size up vs. rolling the dice on the stretch. New ones arrive today - always good when green boxes show up.

I'd appreciate some sizing advice: A recent Brannock measurement indicated I'm a 10C in the left foot and a 9.5C in the right. I currently wear a 9.5D in Barrie, Tremont, Grant, and Hampton. 9.5D Barrie shoes are maybe slightly loose, but they do not slip in the heels, and they are comfortable all day long. 9.5D Barrie boots seem looser but are good with thicker socks. 9.5D Hampton fits like a glove but is also comfortable all day long. The question is, "What should I try in Aberdeen and Plaza?" Should I stick with 9.5D or would 10C be a better bet? Might the much more common 10D be passable? I know I should get sized in a store (preferably one with C widths), and I hope to do this when I go to DC for work in April or May, but if I see something for sale that I really want in the meantime....

6-eyes PTB on 379x for me today. I seem to be a bit of a toe dragger and you could see it even after only a few wears. Sent them to the best in the business for a very discrete vibram topy, which seems to work well for me.

Also, grabbed these from @vnguyen_md and couldn’t be happier.

Just a really good dude to deal with. He’s got a couple of special pieces listed for you 9D TTS folks.

I’m going to stop saying I’m no longer buying shoes. I like shoes and I certainly won’t wear them all much going forward but it’s not like retirement will confine me to being chained to the sofa. I will be selective and continue to try to adhere to the strategy of selling something when I bring something in. We’ll see how it goes.

Happy Friday gang. Have a great weekend.

A couple of acquisitions from late fall and January. I've sold half of my shoe collection over the last couple of years, including my entire (small) Alden collection, so these are my only pairs at the moment. Alden and C&J were my first loves when I got into high quality footwear, and I find myself drawn to them again

I was expecting an NST boot when I placed my order. The SA at the store referenced brass eyelets and pictures on Mike's website, so I assumed I was purchasing this model.

Double waterlock soles and model number should've given it away, but I guess I was too excited to pay attention to the other details.

I may end up returning the NST shoe but am absolutely in love with the Ravello LHS.

Can't say that I blame you @flylikeneagle. The color on those LHS's is absolutely perfect. I love those Whiskey Plaza splits but I get it if it wasn't what you were expecting. Even at 50%, that's a really nice haul. Congrats!
