Remind me again what those are?

So I can cross my fingers that they're both available and actually fit me haha

Two models I cleaned up over the weekend: Amaretto Cordovan Jumpers from Alden Madison (moving up on my list of favorite Alden boots I have ever bought) and my Color 8 chukkas from Yenni

Lately I wanted a black, non-brogue shoe for the summertime joining my parade of brogues from C&J, Tricker's and my beloved C8 975.
For me there was always only one choice and yesterday I finally took it home:

I also recently scored the 9901 as a complement to my collection. I absolutely love my 990’s and I don’t know why I waited so long to obtain this standard catalog model but I feel as if I’ve finally locked in a solid role player I could never live without. After all the rare chasing, this simple almost unnoticeable model is one of my all time favorites. For you youngin’s, the standard catalog models are long time classic standards for a reason and a great way to build a relationship with retailers who can help you attain your rare and special makeup goals. So, do as I don’t, and build from the ground up. Your rare will come in time.

Yeah! There is just something so very classic and essential with the plainer designs and I love them often more with finer garments than my Brogues. My plain toe & cap toe boots taught me that.
Way back I debated with myself, if I should make the 990 or the 975 my first Alden. The 975 won then and time went by and many other shoes & boots 'happened'.

My dealer didn't have the 990 in my size in stock otherwise I would have gotten the C8 version also. It stood there on the shelf ... simply too die for! 🌞

Why just summertime? Wear 'em year round!

Agreed, but I have way too many boots and furthermore I need an alibi to add another Alden boot. 😃

Speaking of standard catalog offerings: I’d sure like to see the 2145 and 2146 come back someday.

My dealer in Germany has them:

And Sherman Brothers in the US also:
