How do you compare these with the vintage Indy's from Leather Soul? There's not much info on the vintage Indy and was curious what that upper material is?

While I love the Vintage Indy, I think this boot is more interesting. Vintage Indy is smooth tobacco chamois, which is basically brown nubuck, I believe. The clay indy is also a nubuck, but it has a pebbled texture and the color has much more variation. It's hard to nail down a color. I have two boots in this leather and the color is very different between the two. Sometimes it looks like natty CXL, sometimes it looks much darker, sometimes almost a gray.

AoM is running the same boot and is doing a preorder for Q1 25.

Appreciate the info! Unfortunately, AoM already took sizes. I need a C width on TB. I'll check to see if DW is gonna do another order of those Clay Nubuck Indy's. Love the brass hardware on your pair!

Thanks @tuna roll. I love it as well. I was on the fence with their C8 brother and decided on these due to me not owning much black shell. But I love them so much that I truly wish I had grabbed the C8’s as they would get far more wear. But they really are (IMO) a great and versatile make.

With everyone pulling out the rarer shells the past several weeks there hasn't been much opportunity for poor ole 8s and black. 😅

Haven't worn this pair in many months. Natural CXL PTB.
When i took it out i noticed many spots which seems to me mold of some sort?

I tried wiping it with a damp cloth then putting it under the hot sun for about 30-45mins plus lots of brushing.
Still no improvement.

I live in hot and humid Asia.

Any product i can use to first "clean" out the spots and then condition it later?

I LOVE shell Indys on 360 leather soles, but I only ever see them in rare colors. Shame seemingly no one does it in color 8. It's my ideal Indy makeup.
