Same slacks, different outfit for a BD dinner with friends and family. Old Bronze gets the call.......

And when you turn 65, they buy you really nice things.......

Idk what's nicer, the Old Bronze or the McCallan. Congrats and enjoy each of them!

sorry yes that was confusing

8.5D van still felt a little big everywhere
8D van still felt big in the heel
9C van feels good and thats what i take

i think im the same as you. i take TB and modified at 8.5C and barrie at 8.5D.

sorry for the confusion
This is very similar to my sizing. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm closer to 9C than 9D.

I even take 8.5C in Barrie for dress shoes because I wear thin dress socks and for boots I wear boot socks.

I wear a size 11.5D in the Van last.
Do I need the same size for the Indy boot, Truebalance last?

i can “fit” in an 8.5C barrie but since it tapers in the toe box i prefer to take a D and tighten the laces. it’s a little looser in the heel but i have more space for my toesies lol. im not sure if this strategy would work with boots though.

maybe a controversial take but im not in love with the barrie last, at least when its on my feet.. however, i do think it makes for beautiful make ups. i guess i love how it looks but not how it feels for me lol

How does a Barrie last differ to Van?

From what I’ve gathered both run larger by about 1/2 size. Barrie has a rounder toe. Anything else?

I'm a size 12D in Hampton, modified, and Barrie, with modified being a splendid fit, Hampton being very good and Barrie being a bit imperfect but doable. Any idea what I can assume to be my size for a loafer, specifically Aberdeen?
