I have a high arch and narrow heel, the toe box is generous, and the 379x fits me perfectly; whereas, the Barrie (in the same size) is too wide, too long, and my heel slips. If I “size down” as retailers suggest, the insole doesn’t fit correctly under my arch, and I still don’t get the heel comfort of the 379x. I wear a 10D. Hope that’s helpful…

Thanks for the great info! I think I'm going to give the pair of 379x's a shot and see if they work for my feet, so hopefully they aren't too bad or I'll be testing out the brogueshop.com return process.

If you wear smaller than 10’s, you might have luck @ The Shoe Mart factory 2nds section finding 379x’s, also

No bowing, but obviously I wasn’t able to walk around normally as I tried them in store.

There is some heel slippage but was told that it goes away and gets better as you wear them?
Heel slip is ok in smaller amounts; you just don’t want your heel falling out with every step. If the ship remains, tongue (best option) or heel pads can take up the difference

Happy Labor Day forum pals. Some LWBs for a trip to see local covered bridges.

Good evening Gents. I’ve been laying low the past few months, but I couldn’t pass these up. Colour 8 Shell Cordovan, leisure machine stitched, Barrie last “Indy”, on Antique Commando. (My own made up description.)😜

How do you feel the "Indy" boot on Barrie looks? Does it still look good or is it no longer "iconic"?
I actually have always wanted a Barrie lasted “Indy”. It’s still chunky enough that keeps a classic silhouette.
