Funny you should mention them. I had a couple with the spacers but didn't really care for how rickety it was. Mine also warped a bit, strangely. Plus, it's an ALLEN EDMONDS product. ;)
I don't care if it's an AE product, good shoe rack. Have the spacers to allow for "boot" height, I used gorilla glue to fasten all together, damn thing now could survive a tornado, and holds my Alden boots just fine.

I was just joking about it being made by AE. Smart move with the Gorilla Glue. 👍

Hey gang, any recommendations for fairly inexpensive racks/shelfs etc. that don't look like crap for all of my Alden Boots? Looking for something with maybe 3 rows, each sitting 3 or 4 pairs?

My wife got me one from the container store. Four shelves, made of stainless steel with wire mesh racks. Completely functional and I think a reasonable price. Holds 3 across. I use the bottom two for boots and the top for driving shoes and sneakers for walking the dog. Second from the top have two pairs of GATs plus a horsehair brush and a suede brush.

Worse yet, I have some that were Jos Banks branded. Those little plates were the first thing to go. I find even with the spacers boots are a tight fit.

Happy wingtip Wednesday forum pals.

Sharp eyed people may be curious about what is connected to the edge of the strap.

Three of my favorite things are color 8 Alden wingtips, a butterscotch Tele and Fender tweed!

The #8 LWB is classic, but today I went with black. Hard to distinguish sometimes with variable light and monitors. The tele and amp were dead on.
