It was a great pleasure to spend an hour with Mack and Joy at the Brogue Shop yesterday. They are such wonderful people - so helpful and enthusiastic. I managed to escape only buying one pair, their new Boondocker collaboration in tan suede on the 379x last.

Mack really helped me understand my Alden sizing with my crazy feet with left 8.5E and the other a 9 D/E HTT, and both a 10 HTB. Probably explains some of my sizing challenges. 8E works beautifully in the 379x, which is a half size up from my Trubalance size.

The military last reminds me of the Viberg 2055, but fits me better since the profile is not so flat as the Viberg toe box.

Odd that you are a 1/2 size more than TB since guidance says the same sizing as TB (both are said to size down 1/2).

The TB is just so roomy, especially in the E width, that it opens up room in the front. I had to sell my 8Es as they were just too long for comfort. Even a half size down, the TB feels like a roomier boot, so say my dawgs.

Whose Loden WTB make-up? I've been searching high and low for Loden Wingtip Boots, but haven't found a place that stocks them or has them for sale in my size

Did it darken the boot at all? I'm thinking of putting some on a pair of roughout boots but don't want them to darken.

yes it does darken the leather a little, but the nourishment to the leather is well worth it, IMO. Here's a pic of 3 of mine after application. I'm super happy with how the neats

These are all chamois leather though, right?

Same here - my 379x size is 1/2 size UP from TB and Barrie. Wasn't even close.

I could be wrong, but I think OP wanted to do them to a normal suede pair, which would definitely darken them, whereas the chamois leather is treated with it during production so with use it'll lighten back up

How is the width compared to TB and Barrie? There’s been some fantastic make ups coming out in the last, but still haven’t had a chance to try it. Based off what I’ve seen the width is perhaps between TB and Barrie?
