This month's topic: The one that got away...

Well, I met her when I was 22. Her name was Anna.

Oh wait, wrong thread. Sorry.

That recent Color 4 Indy....I was supposed to get that one. I was later told the order was over subscribed and my size wasn't available. Yeah, that was a tough one to swallow, especially with how awesome the color is on that boot.

You win some, you lose some, and some get rained out.

Very late to the party. Thrilled to see the color variation from last to this year for the "same color" 😉

How does 4 generally patina? Darker or lighter? I know lighter colors tend to patina darker, but not sure what happens to 4 since it is so "inbetween".

I haven't brought myself to wear my Color 4 Indy's yet... it's like art to me. Feels like I need to put them behind glass and studio lighting, the color on this run is that exquisite.

We have a great group of people here and most of the time everyone is doing fine. But there is still a lot of stress and genuine pain for some as we go through the week. I know several of us who have had some real trials in the last year. So, on Friday I want to post something that might make some people smile for a few minutes. It is two of my favorite musicians playing "Life in the Fast lane" in a blues shuffle that they describe as "pure silliness and should not be taken seriously." They were young men at the time as the video was posted a decade ago, before they toured and before cutting albums. I hope this brings a smile to someone.

Didn't know any better when I got the boots, Not a fan since day 1, so just don't wear them very often. If everything and it's brother didn't stick to the sole, it might be ok. Oh, and get rid of the leather toe thing.....

I'm one of the seemingly few folks who are not turned off by the crepe soles. I actually like them a lot. I covered the leather tip with a vibram sole protector (topy to some folks) and I like them even more. More "all weather" than they were before.

Stuff does stick to the sole moreso than others, but they are super comfortable.

I would really like to see Alden replace the leather tips with tips made out the same material as the neocork soles. That would be pretty awesome.

Don’t know who these guys are @smfdoc but how are they not famous (heck, maybe they are). That was massively enjoyable. Thanks for posting.
