Be careful if those jeans are new and unwashed. I had some indigo transfer from my Momotaro jeans to my tan suede Indys.

I stumbled across Saphir oiled leather cream and tried a neutral on these chromexcels. Their webpage also mentioned that polish could be used and I have their navy. I’m pleased and a Saphir junkie.

Thank you for taking the time to take these pictures! That does look similar to me. Alden said it shouldn't affect wear and if there was ever a defect in the future they would take care of it. I think I'll keep them. Thanks to everyone for your input!

Additionally, the Thomas heel style (orthopedic origins) which Alden uses for its Indy boots has a soft rubber heel cap that wears quickly, especially the back edge. Here is a link to a post revealing aftermarket replacement rubber heel caps:
