Is the noise from the front, or heel of the boot? I ask because I had a pair that did that and it was an issue with the heel stack. Got it fixed by dealer for no charge. Finally got my 405 Indy boots in and on my feet today. Size 9B/D as my Brannock is 9.5 D. The fit is great except..... The right boot "huffs" and/or "exhales" as I walk, making an unusual noise whenever I step forward.... Only the right boot does this.
Will their go away with break in or will a slim insert soak up enough volume that the boot will stop "huffing" with each step?
Otherwise they look and feel amazing. I had a used 403 pair that I can't remember doing this.
Thanks
The front (I'm pretty sure), probably a volume thing. Unusual that only the right boot does it.Is the noise from the front, or heel of the boot? I ask because I had a pair that did that and it was an issue with the heel stack. Got it fixed by dealer for no charge.

Not the OP, but I have had a few bad issues recently and they were not factory seconds.
Outsole trimmer, or stitcher, or both, gone berserk on 4011HC. There wasn't much welt left really and some stitches were stripped.

Awful clicking on 3912, leather was thin and brittle.
