@FryingOilman @ac106 @jischwar @marinemustang

Thanks for the feedback. I am about to grab the Leffot and Madison versions and will report back. Traditional Indy on wedge versus u-tip/Indy on Grant.

Updating my earlier posts on a tobacco reverse chamois Indy, I received the trubalance on wedge version from Leffot and the grant u-tip on commando from Madison. Here are a few pics. Aside from the stitching color debate (still can go either way on that), I’m trying to decide which last I like. I believe I prefer the Grant last as I almost always do for my Alden boots, but I would love your feedback. Thanks!

Please ignore the random WFH jeans that I had on when I threw these on just now. Haha.

I can't remember how you are planning to wear these. I think the Grant last looks really good here as it's sleeker but not too sleek that you can't wear jeans with it. The TB, imo, would be relegated to casual only

Both look amazing.
If I had to keep only one pair, I would settle with the Grant lasted ones.

I'm definitely planning to stay casual with these. I do like the fact that the Grant would possibly allow me to go a little more "formal" than the TB. I'm leaning Grant or, if I go with the TB last, the TB version from San Fran with the berry stitching and commando sole.

Grant gets my vote.. way more versatile..

Thank you!

Thanks! I'm definitely leaning Grant as well.

Are the Grant lasts, handstiched? They look more raised. I prefer that look personally, but I know a lot of people like machine stitched better.

Yes, it appears so. Good catch. That is a nice twist to the Grant version. I am strongly leaning towards going with the Grant. I love that last.

Those look awesome. Are they from the most recent run? A few months back they advertised a pre-order for the mini tankers in cigar and whiskey loafers in their Instagram stories - the post was only up for maybe a few hours. I can imagine they got flooded with inquiries. I made the call and was told I was on "the list" for the tankers, but never heard back. Called again a while back to see if they needed my card, etc., and turns out I was not on the list after all. What a roller coaster :(

Yes most recent. Was asked if I wanted to jump on the run at the point of purchase of their whiskey loafers. Probably got lucky at the moment.

Wingtip Wednesday and off to the Pocono mountains to see if any leaves are turning yet and some lunch with Mrs. smfdoc.
