Waiting room, annual dermatology full body skin check. When Dr. came in she noticed my shoes and said "My husband has a pair of AL-DEN boots, he likes them"

Not my listing and not my size either but stumbled upon these rare LHS and figured someone might appreciate the heads up.

Are they legit? Couldn’t find them on Alden model project. Though the model # looks different than what I’m used to.

Same, checked and couldn't find them. I do believe they are legit but one of the authoritative members of the group can probably better vouch for their authenticity than I can.

She pronounced them Al-Den? Wonder if that's cause her husband pronounces it that way. I've always heard All-Den.

You're spot on about my issue, grainy/rough texture that's easily discernible to the touch and it has a whitish look in-between the rolls. I'm hoping it just needs to be conditioned and it'll go away.

i think what youre describing has happened to me on the quarters of my shellsea boots. it was rough bumpy and dry feeling in the valley of the rolls. conditioning alone didn’t fix it. a deer bone + conditioning did the trick.

for boning, it took me a bit to learn how to angle the bone in the grooves so that it nourished the leather without scratching it. i got the leffot bone.

i wear my **** p hard and probably dont do enough maintenance tbh so maybe just conditioning will do the trick for you.

hopefully that helps.

it's rough but not bumpy and definitely dry. I figured worst case scenario I might need a bone, if the vsc doesn't remedy the issue, then I'll try the spoon method. I've been thinking of purchasing Brift H Ebony stick.....it's look pretty cool...main reason I want it lol
I wear my LHS pretty hard for loafers since they feel sturdy and solid as opposed to dainty as my other loafers. They're no strangers to puddles, mud, rain and sand lmao
