Late afternoon and evening boots. I really wish Natty would come back.

I know who the Alden wearers are at the gas station. Gotta use a wide stance so no gas drips on the shells.

Still too risky, better use full serve…

I was pumping gas in hunting green suede chukkas and the pump malfunctioned and spewed gas all over my legs and feet. Fortunately, I had applied scotchgard to the shoes so they were unaffected. My pants, sadly, were ruined.

Good that the rare suede was saved, but that’s awful about the trousers. Every now and then I’ll get one that likes to gush. I’m to the point now I’ll just keep my hand on the squeezer the entire time. Another vote for soulless electric vehicles I guess.

One benefit of having a Chevy Volt. I only have to fill up once every few months when I drive more than 50 miles at a time with no chance to plug in. No drips out of the electric charging station. Protects the shoes.

Wingstop Wednesday! Had to order the lemon pepper and garlic parmesan!

Sorry, meant to post my shoes instead of my food! Wingtip Wednesday wearing my Ravello Wingtip Boots from B&M. These invoke such a special feeling each time I put these on!

Also decided to break out the Brown Suede "Saunders" Wingtip Boots I just got from our friends over at Ealdwine! Have a few coats of Inulvner to apply and replace the flat laces with some Guarded Goods round boot laces!

Took a new delivery today gents and I couldn't be more pleased. Nice to grab a pair of rare shell that also fills a hole in the rotation (or maybe just my way of justifying the purchase). Next to splits, perf caps are my favorites and these are on the 379x last that I have been wanting to try for some time. The fit is close to perfect in every way. Similar to Barrie but with a smaller waist and a nicer fit in the heel. Again, could not be more pleased......

Sometimes we get hung up on colors but I still have a question for the gang. Whiskey whiskey ravello......... View attachment 1648386

Or Whiskey ravello ravello.........

Really is hard to tell the difference. And while I have the floor, let me change directions and post a quick pic or two of my Black Ealdwine V-tips after a mod from Aram.........

These also filled a hole for me but while I like black shell, I don't love it. Same with brass eyes. Looks really good on others, but for me, it's more of a change of pace. What I didn't expect is that I would like these as much as I did once they landed. I initially resisted the temptation but ultimately decided that I wanted these to be a regular in my rotation and the only way that was going to happen was to swap the brass for black. Love the results. There are a lot of really good cobblers out there but man, Aram is an artist. Again, very pleased.

Apologies in advance for the long post.
Looking good @Shawnc!! I agree with you about the brass on black shell, and the splits and pct preference. Congrats on two great acquisitions…
