ALDEN 922

Hello - newbie on Aldens here. Curious about this pair on eBay that appear to be NOS, and perhaps quite "old stock." Any idea about this model (no longer apparently available from Alden), when it might have been made - 1990s, 1980s (note the old logo), what shoe model it likely most compares to today, characteristics of the shoe (i.e., shell cordovan, handmade, etc.)? Seemed like a decent deal at $250 (was it?). Many thanks for any guidance on these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/164924422211

These were made in 1982 based on that logo. Snap last (was a Brooks brothers last). Black calfskin. Most similar to the 907 Hampton of today.

Very cool that you can determine the year! Were these a good deal at $250 for a new pair? Or is that what these would cost?
