Hey @madhat, I always use Feiblings as my weapon of choice. Looking through the supply of dyes I've acquired over the years, I couldn't locate any for suede/roughest. I wonder if that was my mistake the last time I tried. I dyed a pair of Rancourts once and the leather was so thick that I used much more dye than normal. They had the same problem you describe. These seem pretty solid. Fingers crossed ?.
Using standard dye on suede makes for very hard suede. :p

I generally prefer Angulus, but I have tried Fiebings and they work fine.

That absolutely sounds like the issue I had. I was a rookie and just grabbed some leather dye I had sitting on the shelf. I have used Angulus before but I recall it being a bi more expensive without any appreciable difference in the results.

More per ounce, but seems more concentrated, so still use a single bottle either way. ?

This is just so smooth. Very nicely done.

And lastly, because I am nothing if not a big kid at heart, decided to sport my AoM MTO suede split loafers on my Sam's Club run.......

Definitely starting to dig this dark denim thing. And with the temps in the 60's, seemed appropriate.

Today’s BB Tassels #8… sorry they discontinued these Classic iconic shoes.. dumb move .. the buyer must be kicking himself or herself for this. I mean blanket discontinue all ALDEN, C&J, EG, for cheap Italian knock offs.. Brooks lost focus and now what? Sad.. loved the brand since college graduation. Won’t even go to their website anymore.. everything is cheapened with poly .. gross
