Does anyone know if there are slight tweaks to the Barrie last every so often. The color 8's are from 2017/18, whereas the color 4's are 2021. Both fit amazingly well, but I started to notice that the toe angle has been changing. These are D widths. I usually wear E width and haven't noticed the change in shape for the wider variant.

Apologize in advance if this is redundant. I believe I saw this on a previous discussion in the past year or two, but couldn't find the thread.

Very interesting question that I do not know the answer to. However, I don't see how/why Alden would make such a change.

From the photo, they do look a bit different, but the 8's are well worn and the 4's are new.


I do know that certain patterns do fit differently, despite being on the same last; in this case that is not the case, but just know that that happens.

Appreciate the insights. In regard to the well-worn (and molding), that's what my intuition tells me.

Don't have the Mitchell V-tips, but they are killer looking boots.

Awesome - have fun and enjoy. One positive of the pandemic has been that some of us take these small occasions less for granted now than in the past. We're also getting pizza but take out still since my children aren't vaccinated and we're still cautious about exposure.

The boots look great. I can see why they are one of your favorites.

For Wingtip Wednesday, these were my first pair of Alden LWB's, and still my only pair of rare shell. Cigar LWB's on double leather sole with antique edge, next to Seattle greenery.

Wingtip Wednesday in my B&M "Debonair" Snuff Suede boots. These look so much better with the snuff colored laces I got from TSM.
