That pair is Indy boot upper pattern made using Truebalance last and a double leather sole ? If I have these specs correct which dealer sold this one as a makeup style ? I don't believe I've seen before the Mahogany colored shell and, or, an Indy boot with a double leather sole.

Brick and Mortar ran those.The run was very small. Yenni told me there were only 8 pair total. There are some other Indy’s made on double leather though, I can think of color 8, whiskey and Regina grain pairs I’ve seen in the past.

Thanks for the information My favorite Indy boot sole is the Neocork, but I would not mind trying a pair with a double leather sole.

379X and Barrie are pretty different. In general, the sizing guidance is to take the same size, but this assumes a bunch of things. 379X has a wide toe box that is very rounded, while Barrie has a less rounded toe box. 379X has a very narrow waist and heel with medium arch support, while Barrie is more generous through the waist and heel with fairly low arch support.

Any chance you may know the real world detailed [as above] difference between 379X and Modified?

Quick update on my Color 4 plain toe boots. As you may recall, my pair was rather "unique" with a mismatched binding on the two boots. As always, Steve at Bedos came through

One more post on the binding re-dye now that I have the boots back in hand. On the left is the Alden factory dark binding on my Color 4 wingtip boots and on the right is the formerly tan binding. I suspect he dyed the binding on both plain toe boots to get an exact match but even without doing that it's very close to the factory dark binding

No, the left boot is a B+M Color 4 wtb I used as a comparison to Alden's factory dark binding color

The prices didn't go up after it was discovered other than Alden's standard annual increase so why would they go down?
