The LWB have returned from their “spa” treatment at Alden. Shoes still fit great, like a new pair of old shoes.

The only difference is they sent different shoe bags (although I still have my original ones.)

I’m guessing Alden may be using these for restorations and the original shoe bags are still given with newly-purchases shoes (as with the AWW I recently purchased a few months back.). I thought it was heresy when they stopped using the brass ball on the draw strings on the older shoe bags. ?

Anyway the LWBs look and (more importantly) feel great.

And as for the shoe bags, they can each hold two other pair of shoes. ?

Earlier today I posted the tan LWBs I was wearing. I like them, but I think they were just a little too tan and a little deeper color would be helpful. So, I did a little work on them during clean up.

Better? Worse? Same? I think better, but that is me.

Very nice, what did you finally do about sizing (copley versus aberdeen)?
Went with same as Aberdeen, fit is fine. No heel slip, little bit more toe room. Heel slip is my nemesis in loafers, I'd rather have a bit tight in toe box, than heel slip. Copley seems to be a good balance between toe room and no heel issues (so far). We will see the final verdict once "no sock" season hits, but that is a few months away here. All that being said, Copley is NOT quite as sleek in appearance as Aberdeen, but pretty good IMHO.

Fresh off the truck from Madison. Their recent run of their Ravello 2x2 "Double Double" CT Boot. A true masterpiece made on the Barrie last that brings a great balance of dress and casual together...

Heel slip is my nemeses as well (due to narrow heels) but the Aberdeen does not work for me. I need more room in the ball and toe box areas and wish there were more non-tassel loafers available on the Copley.
