Has anyone on here ever put sole protectors on the leather tips on a pair of Alden crepe soles? I wanted to know if there were any negatives to doing this. I do understand that the crepe heels would wear quite a bit faster than the leather tips with a sole protector, but it's fairly straightforward to get just the crepe heels replaced. The leather tips make me avoid wearing them in the rain. I have no issue wearing leather soled shoes with sole protectors on wet days. I realize this is probably a "me" hangup and not an actual functional one.

Leather Soul Ravello Shortwings - possibly the best shade of "Orangevello" ever? If anyone has a bead on their Amaretto Shortwings in 10.5 or 11D, then please let me know ? View attachment 1540743

Mark, those Ravello SWs are looking just superb. Such a nice and rich color with almost an Amaretto vibe to them. Enjoy them in good health!

Back in the “mean streets” of Chicago. Happy Friday!

Is it just me or have you worn Ravello everyday this week?

Three weeks. ;-)

I always start the year with a “Ravello Week”, been doing this the past 4-5 years. Today was actually my last day, as I have now worn every pair that I have in Ravello. Tomorrow will be my new (to me) Color 4 Vibergs.

Cheers,
Mike

Happy Friday forum pals. I have enough Ravello to wear them one day in a row.
