Does anyone remember the name of the eBay seller who sells mostly Alden shoes (new old stock and pre-owned) as well as being on SF. I know his SF user name and eBay seller name are different but I cannot find either one. Someone in this thread mentioned him within the past few weeks so I could really use the help. I have purchased from @NAMOR and while I don't know if he is who you are looking for, he certainly fits the description. I have made multiple purchases from him and I highly recommend him. Very knowledgeable with fair prices and some really tough-to-get pieces.

I'm not sure. Does this person have an eBay account? I think the person i am thinking obit and was mentioned here not that long ago sells mostly on eBay.

Ha, I thought so. They actually took me on a trip down memory lane as I have the same pair. I swapped the brass for brown eyes and then later added hooks. Here is an after shot of mine but seeing yours reminded me of how much I loved the original design......

these look great. Honestly I am ambivalent in general to brass eyelets. I think they look great on these whiskey boots but I have considered swapping out the brass for brown on my color 4 boots.

Just picked these up this afternoon from Alden of DC. They said they're cigar, but I'm seeing from here and other places they may be mocha. What do you Alden experts think? (It doesn't make a difference to me, but I'm curious.)

Taste is a tricky thing. I have brass on 2 pair of whiskey shoes and absolutely love it. But for some reason when I got the boots it just seemed to be a bit much for my style of dress. Strictly a matter of taste. I also had it on a pair of 8's (shoes) and found it to be a bit much. I have seen the color 4 boots with brass and definitely think brown eyes would be absolutely killer (not that they aren't already).
