I love 8 and I don't know that I've seen any better shade of 8 than these. Absolutely love it when you post these.

Thanks Shawnc, my fascination with #8 began around 1978. Even today.. I find them more interesting because of the patina than my quote Rare Shells.. they are nice but it's called King for a reason. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and stay safe my friend.

With the lighting and color of the laces, they appeared somewhat like loden suede.

It's funny, but I love color 8 as well, more so than the "rare" colors (whiskey, cigar, Ravello) now that being said, I'd trade 1/2 my color 8's for a color 4 boot...........but that's kind of a color 8, only 1/2 as much

Close and in all honesty, probably wouldn't do it, as I can fade 8's to near 4's.

And as of roughly an hour ago I can attest to the fact that he does a pretty good fade job!

I just set them outside, a star about 92 Million miles away did most of the work

I bought a used Chukka Boot Color 8 and I need some help. Since it's my firts pair of shell cordovan, I can't tell if there's something wrong with the color of the boot.
The boot It's almost new, but it seems that there a some black shades that aren't natural...I'm not sure if the previous owner used some black wax in the boot...

I took this pictures with flash. Without the light/flash the boots are very dark.

Is that something wrong with the color? If yes, what's the best way to remove the black shades?

I see some normal patina. Get some shoe trees and a brush and wear the **** out of them. They look sweet!
