Been out a few weeks with a case of COVID so no decent shoe wearing for me. Finally back at the office and in some Aldens today.

Been eyeballing the Phoenix from Ealdwine since they arrived and finally pulled the trigger on them. Also snagged a pair of Yenni's CXL cap toes from TSM 2nd's. Decided a cap toe family pic was in order, 3rd pair is color 8 shell also from Yenni.

Have purchased 2nd's from TSM in the past and as most experience have had a hard time finding the flaw. Didn't see anything at first on these CXLs but figured it out when I tried them on. The speed hooks are noticeably higher on one side of the boot from the other. Not too big a deal and can't beat the 2nd's pricing.

not sure if someone posted already, from the Shoe Snob, basically some repaired a chewed up alden (by owner's dog), though not sure if I would do it at that price, might as well pay more and get brand new

I looked at the TSM 2nds and don’t see this makeup listed. Maybe it sold out too quickly for me to notice, as I check the listings often.

Incoming from AOC. Haven’t had any shell in quite some time, but a nice shade of 8 that isn’t nearly as dark as it had been in years past. Honestly looking to get these resoled in the future to get rid of the commando and antique, but should be fun to see the rolls start.

Would love these on double leather (keep the antique).

Leather or Double waterloc would actually be fantastic. My biggest qualm with commando is that it wears around the stitch edge too quickly which can lead to a premature resole if not careful. These will eventually get rubber half soles and black edges when the time comes.

Well, trip to podiatrist today and the new, really stupidly expensive, custom orthotics are in. The important thing, they work with SHOES AND BOOTS!!! I am back in the shoe wearing business Have posted on the B/S/T thread, but everything I have listed either sells tonight, or is no longer available as of tomorrow. So if anyone was thinking, now is the time.
