As I am sure you know, as long as you had pre-treated with Saphir's waterproof spray you should be fine. And yes, those shrimp can be really jumpy especially as their lives come to an end when they end up in the pan.

Oh shrimp were already dead, just my poor stirring skills......boots will be ok,
Tarrago Nano spray and all.

Worst thing that can happen to the boots is a permanent stain and then it's just patina. I no longer get upset about things happening to footwear

I am not sure that is 100% accurate.

I knew about the AOM models. They’re old stock. They told me Alden isn’t restocking anything in modified last for them. I’m not sure about TSM.

Of all the various Alden lasts, Grant is just about perfect for me. Plaza a close second. It has taken a longtime and a lot of money to get my last/size down, If one is just getting into Alden, BUY A PLANE TICKET. GET FITTED BY AN Alden STORE, save yourself a lot of $$$$
