I have a low instep. If anything, I've sized down for shoes rather than boots in the past. For boots, the shaft normally helps secure the fit.

I've recently had some success going up half a size in length but down one in width for Barrie shoes. I normally take 10.5D in boots and went with 11C for a pair of PTBs. The fit was relatively good.
I don't notice a difference in the fit of Barrie bluchers and boots. Both fit me beautifully ½ size down. I doubt I could get my foot in a Barrie boot full size down.
legal disclosure: I have low instep
I went with my Barrie shoe size for my first Barrie boots. I hope they have as good a lace gap as my shoes. Next time I’m near a store, I’ll experiment with C’s and E’s. Will report back with fit pics when they’re delivered.

Does anybody know of any stores that have similar makeups to the brown cxl NST Boot or NST Blucher? Both Madison and leathersoul are sold out on this stock.
