Wow, wow, wow. So nice. Just killer combo. BTW, I thought I had heard Alden was not using brass with #8. I wonder if they think it is fine with #4?

Little known trivia fact. Florsheim, back in the MiUSA day, made their LWBs from #4 shell and they would then add color to some of them. And to think you could just go to the local Florsheim store and pick up a pair. Here is one next to the same shoe in black. So if #4 is so stunning, why isn't it used more often?

I take Grant in the same as my Hampton and Plaza size, plus 1/2 from my Trubalance size.

Interesting. Same as Aberdeen?

I've heard that Grant is one of those tweener lasts... I am not totally convinced that my Tremont size is what I think it is, either.

Where do you fall with Aberdeen and Tremont?

I have Aberdeen tassels, but nothing with laces, so I'm not sure it is a great example because there is lesser support from a low vamp. I wear them smaller 1/2 size in length, but in E width.
