Anyone finding their feet shrink over these stay at home and work from home months? I just figured my size somewhat shrunk about a half size...Don't know what should I do next, cleaning out my whole wardrobe??

My feet elongated after running out every weekend to cover protest last year. Still half size larger now.

I wish I had a nice rug like the rest of you. I am still very much new to the Alden world as this is my second pair(my other is a pair of tan calfskin LWB). I was very fortunate to walk into these. Is there anything specific I need to know about the maintenance of the shell cordovan? I figured the little handbook that came with the shoes was pretty vague and standard. Sorry if I sound like a newb, it’s because I am!

also, where can I get a rug?(kinda serious)

Congratulations on your new Bluchers! Those are just phenomenal and an amazing second Alden!!

In terms of care, I would check out Post #5 of this thread.

I would normally point you to my blog, but we are getting rolling blackouts today. Already took a power hit and so keeping my server off until tomorrow morning.

In terms of rugs, you could have a friend who goes shopping all the time pick you one up. ;-) Dilmaghani rugs in NY seems to have some nice stuff. There is also rugs.com and many other online venues.

Is that the secret why your loafer photos always with a good fit??

Indeed! My feet is slender yet wide type and most last fits with empty vamp, needs insert or tongue pad.

Somewhat the TTS last loafers now fits better.

So I've been itching for maybe an NST on plaza.

Here are the options
1. AF26 - it's the OG and iconic, 270 storm welt but only drawback I have is commando sole

2. Gentlemen's footwear - flat welt plus leather sole.

3. B+M - flat welt, leather sole and mahogany welt. So dressiest of the pack.

I've been going back and forth. Flat vs storm welt, antique vs Mahogany, commando vs leather....

What do you guys think? I feel like if I skip the AF26 and go to the flat welt then may as well just make it mahogany and get the dressier look.

Hmmm...

All great shoes, but the AF26 strikes me as "the best" looking of the three. Why? I don't know. It just looks terrific. Probably the level of contrast with the welt.

How does Brown Regina leather age? Does it get deep creases like CXL or have loose grain?

As others have said, I did not see any loose grain or creases. Its a nice leather.
