Isn't it funny, that we all are listing shell, rare or not, as the best of Alden, when probably the 405's are the workhorse of the brand, and going to outlast damn near everything else.
My green suede LHSs are at the top of my list, but, yeah, shell definitely gets all the attention

I know this is a shoe thread but wanted to ask where do you guys buy your dress pants? Any specific brand? Any places that have different texture options as well?

Thanks in advance!
I used to buy Brooks Brothers a lot but their sizing got all weird. I would always get a Madison fit with a 33 waist but the sizing wasn't reliable. I have a few pairs from Suit Supply using the MtM program. I have a a few pairs made for braces and 1 pair with belt loops. The belt loops pair doesn't fit me very well while the braces fit pretty decent. I haven't really worn dress pants since March though and lost some weight with all of the bars and restaurants closed down now. I'm hoping the pants won't be baggy on me once work resumes to normal or new normal.

Yeah I know what you mean. I've not put a pair on since March either and lost a bunch of weight so I'm the market to rebuy. In the past I bought off the rack at the big department stores, so nothing great. They would look like crap after 3-4 months.

So looking to get something better but also reasonably priced. I can justify spending $1000 on shoes but $250 dress pants feel like they're a $1M ?

If there was like a Gustin of dress trousers. Is there such a thing?

In terms of my favorite shade. I would say...

For Whiskey, it is my Whiskey Indy Boots.

For Ravello, it is my Brassvello LWBs. Although the old LS Ravello WT Bluchers were pretty amazing as well.

For Cigar, it is probably DV’s old Cigar WT Boots from LS. But from my collection it is my MCT Boots.

And for Color 8, I would have to go with both my Tassels, which have a fairly nice Patina and my Color 8 Navals from Leffot which came with probably my favorite out of the box shade of Color 8.

Epaulet's MTO?

Yeah, they used to have a program called Ends For Friends, where they would scavenge all the left over fabrics and would do orders with the fabric ends. Used to be a good deal for a few off pairs of some amazing fabrics. When you got a pair, you felt like you won the lottery.
