One of my favorite pair from the gents at Ealdwine yesterday. Of course they were a pleasure to work with on this pair, and have been with others as well. Even had the wife get me a pair of Randolph Engineering sunglasses from them for my bday last month. Nice to have a go to shop even if it is on the wrong side of the country.

And some saddles for sliding into the weekend.

The berluti looks cool but a few times I tried it feels like an infinite amount of more effort than I'd like to tie my shoes.
I've been using it for a couple of years, and it honestly doesn't take much more effort than "regular" knot. I will say it's harder to do in the dark however :)

How much more effort to untie?

(I personally have very little problems with my laces coming undone, so to me it's unnecessary)

None. You pull the loose ends and it comes apart just like a normal knot.

I happen to like the symmetry and they way they lay perpendicular to the lace gap. Pull one string and they just come undone. Funny though, I never use the Berlutti knot on athletic shoes, or boots with leather laces (GS).

Agreed - I think leather laces would have to be ridiculously long to even be able to tie a Berlutti with them.
