Anyone speak to the Grant last vs Barrie? It sounds like grant is just a smidge narrower, but it’s hard to figure out just how much narrower.

Here's a picture of Barrie and Grant side by side. Grant is a smidge narrower and has a straighter, more almond toe. I'd say most size Grant tts as opposed to .5 down like Barrie. For what it's worth, I have wider feet and slightly prefer the fit of Grant.

My experience is similar. I wear 11EEE in Barrie and 11.5EEE on the one and only Grant last I own. YMMV.

I'm a huge fan of Grant, especially for boots but I have a few shoes as well. For me, its pretty straightforward, I go up a width in Grant. 8.5D Barrie, 8.5E in Grant.

Happy Monday forum pals. Wash your hands frequently and wear a mask in social situations. I wore mine to bed last night and Mrs. smfdoc was not amused. Whiskey saddle NSTs and my mask.

Yes, I did the sewing as Mrs. smfdoc would be lost in the project and using the vintage Singer (1952) I own. I used the plans found on the front page of the style forum. The outer layer is an AE shoe bag, The inner lining is a 100% silk pocket square. There is a gap between the two that contains a piece of parchment paper cut to size. The three layers are likely pretty effective and it also stops me from touching my face, which is even more important.

Is this color accurate? Usually looks like a darker brown in most pictures I've seen. These look reddish brown. Either way they look awesome!

Haha, It’s accurate for my pair ?
Chamois can color shift a little based on the direction of the nap.
