Office lighting is always lousy (and the carpet in most offices is as well). I, for one, would dress for "business" even if working from home, but since I'm retired I DGAF anymore. Dressing for work puts one in a "work" frame of mind, even if it's from the couch in the family room.

I agree completely. Clothes make one feel important.. There was a study I read about where some folks who dressed up in suits (in a mock scenario) closed business more often than those in sweatpants.

Dang. That is some insane blooming.

Yessir! They've been holed up in the closet since summer/fall probably.

Is that some bowing on the right shoe?

It looks like it, but the wind kind of blew me back a bit onto my heels.

The balls of my feet left the ground and caused me to settle on my heels a bit more, causing what I think you see as bowing.

Question, every once in a while I look at Alden LHS in 8 and I think they look swell. Although I stop short of ever buying because they look a little bit too old man like. Does anyone know anywhere I can get some more fashion forward styling inspo with it?

I often see them in stores that carry Engineered Garments and Kapital etc so I figured some one must have something like em on in more wild fits.
IMHO:

A business formal(ish) look is loafers with wool pants and dress socks.

A casual look is sockless, or the faux sockless socks, with high water jeans.
The brothers Joachim, Les Freres Joachim, have some great older looks out in the interwebs.

Since Unionmade shuttered, I don't know of anyone doing a black suede LHS. Anybody have any leads?
