Oh, just don't buy shoes. Problem solved :p

Haha, that would work, but... I like shoe too! I actually really like the seasonality that "requires" me to have a winter and summer rotation. My summer favorites are the flex sole dovers and loafers - there is no boot that can match those for summer comfort!-)

Question, every once in a while I look at Alden LHS in 8 and I think they look swell. Although I stop short of ever buying because they look a little bit too old man like. Does anyone know anywhere I can get some more fashion forward styling inspo with it?

I often see them in stores that carry Engineered Garments and Kapital etc so I figured some one must have something like em on in more wild fits.

+1 on this. It pained me to do it but is much better in the end
what do the end result actually look like? I'm having a hard time envisioning what they actually do

Agreed. I wear boots in 90 degree weather

As I recall, Indy frequently wore his boots to jungles and to Egypt in search of the Ark. Sounds to me like boots can be worn year round.

I feel like this won’t come off as a genuine suggestion, but seriously - Japanese Instagram posts with Alden hashtags. Lots of strong looks that fit that aesthetic (EG and the like)
