It's really not THAT old, well maybe 8 yrs, but Filson has the unique property of going from looking brand new for a long time, to massive patina almost overnight. Helps that it has been rained on, left outside once overnight, thrown in trunk of car. All the abuse helps them patina

That's pretty interesting. I've admired, but never owned a filson. I definitely had it pegged for 10-15 years and I mean that in a good way.

im an idiot; i waxed my PTB the first time yesterday and i decided to do it over the creases. now there's clear white streaks. what is the best way to remove the mirror shine wax in the creases?

Turpentine, gently applied, should take off the excess wax without otherwise wrecking the shine.

I have a 48 hour and medium duffel that get used a decent amount and look great. I really like Filson bags.

I've had a lot of other bags in my life, now own a couple medium field bags, 24 hour, 48 hour and one small field bag from Filson....wouldn't have any other at this point in my life. Plus they go well with my Aldens (to keep it on point)
