Just got an email about them...Alden has gone past my maximum price point on shell. Too bad, as they look great.

Yeah I’m really going to need to start seeing more value added for the extra regular pops in price. I’m certainly being way pickier with quality when the price is nigh a grand and I won’t pay for return shipping on an item that doesn’t get a once over before it’s shipped-that’s on the retailer (let them get it from the factory). And to even say that sounds funny because I shouldn’t have to at those (mostly, if not entirely protected) prices. Last shaped cedar trees for my investments. I mean, that’s what the higher end is really expecting. I’m definitely focusing on retailers who spring for shipping and or can throw some swag my way. To me it makes a difference between enabling my mental illness to continue unabated for that much longer versus seeking a professional interventionist. Otherwise, it’s becoming a much shorter distance across the pond.

Just shipped my OG Indy boots to Aram for heel-replacements. I opted against a full re-sole because the Neocork and stitching has held up very well despite the wear and tear.

Now here something I havent seen yet. Tankers on leather from brogue, looks great in my opinion. View attachment 1319421

These are nice. I was in on their preorder from January last year. Still waiting on a notification that my pair has come in.

Neocork is crazy durable. I really like my pair with it. It’s interesting it seems like it’s not used that much on other makeups

I’m a huge fan of Neocork as well. Granted, I don’t live in a very snowy/icy environment (apparently they get very slick/slippery), but my 15-year Alden experience has led me to believe that Neocork is far, far more durable than Commando.

So durable it can stop a speeding underground mine cart!
