So pulled the trigger, so to speak, on the full strap loafers this evening. Didn't go shell as wanted a lighter color so went with 685 tan calf. I don't "need" full strap loafers, but don't have a pair and will wear them 2-3 times a month in summer, and probably not more than that. At my age, the soles may still be almost pristine when the kids have to sell them due to my demise (Lots of years in the future, but......)

Happy Friday and Valentine's day! Black shell wings on Plaza today. Pale pink shirt that the camera had a hard time picking up. Hope everyone has a great day. Decided to wear some warm flannel wool pants because it's so cold here.

I'd prefer some type of dress makeup (balmoral), although my opinions will likely be drowned out by the casual crowd :)

I always love seeing different shops roll out new and unique makeups!

I feel you pegged me. Boot bros assemble!

edit: I really goofed up the quote above, attributable to @savvysartorial

Looking to have my voice drowned out with @ELClodge . I would be in for an Alden Bal. Would prefer shell with a flat welt. I get those 3 and everything else is malleable. Well maybe something in color 4 would be nice but not too many folks like color 4 around here.....
More bal brothers!! Shell and flat welt and you've got me checked! Color 4 would be

If Alden made this in shell I would be ALL over it.... Anyone?? Bueller? Bueller? These are so unique I'd love to have them in the closet.... Or even a true balmoral boot (to my knowledge Alden has never done it).

I wear these often but wish they were Alden shell. Church's Burwood:
