Wanted to get this thread’s opinion on snuff suede vs tobacco chamois roughout on a plain toe blucher. I know higher quality suede that Alden uses is super tough, but for all-weather conditions, is it usually a better move just to get tobacco chamois roughout?

Yes, for all-weather and minimal maintenance the chamois is best. Alternatively, snuff suede sprayed with protectant will be weather-resistant but will need to be reapplied as necessary.

Well, after looking at all of @mdubs blue suede, I had to.....I mean I couldn't help it. These just in and as long as shipping was the same cost threw the closeout boots in for good measure. The boots are a stretch for me as far as styling, but I kind of like them. View attachment 1435532 View attachment 1435533

Both look great, Audog. The boots can be a baby step to you ultimately embracing wingtips ;)

I'm.........scared.......wings are so daunting........No seriously, in my 66 yrs, I have never owned a pair of wing shoes or boots, I have tried, but when I look down, just don't like the look on me. I know it's crazy and somewhat out of the ordinary here, but I'm ok with it, and that leaves more rare shell wings for the rest of you :)

Wait a second - you are willing to wear blue suede tasseled loafers, but think wingtips are a bridge too far?!
